When Southwest Airlines discontinued its free in-flight peanuts, customers expressed extreme disappointment. But now, the airline is bringing them back — more or less — by selling its peanuts online.
Now, fans can purchase peanut-related items, like a vintage Southwest Airlines tin lunchbox holding the honey-roasted version and lightly salted version of the famed peanuts. The souvenir will set you back $29.
The initial order of the product sold out.
Southwest Airlines was an early adopter of onboard snacks as opposed to full meals. The carrier, along with many other airlines, discontinued serving peanuts due to the health risks to passengers with allergies.
