Fresh on the hotel scene in Singapore, the 138-room Six Senses Maxwell occupies a 19th-century Colonial-style heritage building that together with nearby Six Senses Duxton make up Six Senses Singapore. Interiors at the Maxwell location, by French architect and designer Jacques Garcia, embrace sustainability and a beautiful blend of traditional and contemporary elements that include minibars constructed with brass, lacquer and marble, and handmade bathroom fixtures by Lafroy Brooks. Rooms and suites are divided into seven categories.
On-site activities range from tea appreciation sessions, yoga, local heritage tours and complimentary Traditional Chinese Medicine consultations. Guests can indulge in signature spa treatments and therapies, relax on So Sound Loungers, book a session with a personal trainer or enjoy spa pods scheduled to open in early 2019. Be sure to head to the roof, where Max’s Edible Garden, a gym and an 82-foot, rooftop lap pool are located.
Guests can refresh themselves with a signature Rose Bellini in the Rose Lounge & Bar, or sample the collection of artisanal whiskies and other spirits at Garcha’s. For dining, there’s Murray Terrace brasserie; or Cook & Tras, described as a “social library restaurant.” The hotel is situated in the city’s Chinatown district where neighborhood experiences include the MacRitchie Treetops Walk, Botanic Gardens Exploration Tour, Civic District Discovery Walk and a Black & White Iconic Heritage Homes Tour.

Apr 17, 2024Amansara Review
It was more than a car journey; it was a transition between worlds. The mundanities of mass tourism were left behind. We progressed through the chaotic Cambodian streets in regal comfort and soon arrived at a solid gate.
