Six Senses eyes the South Carolina shores with plans to open an eco-conscious resort, spa and residential community on Hilton Head Island, Daufuskie Island and Bay Point Island. Slated to open in 2026, the multi-island property will sit a short distance from Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport.
Hilton Head Island will serve as the main welcome hub and entry point to the resort and residences, offering a bespoke retail outlet and restaurant. The island will also serve as a convenient embarkation point for Six Senses guests and residents to climb aboard a hybrid yacht or electric boat to begin their adventure with a ride on the Intercoastal Waterway.
Moving to Daufuskie Island, the southernmost inhabited sea island in South Carolina, Six Senses will debut guestrooms, private suites and cottages along the beachfront and maritime forest. There will also be an all-day restaurant joined by a specialty eatery and bar, beach club, pool grill, and pop-up programming. Restaurants will serve dishes highlighting seasonal and local ingredients. Guests can also enjoy the resort’s integrated farm and championship golf course, as well as equine therapy and water activities.
Six Senses Spa will lie on Daufuskie Island as well, bringing yoga, meditation, mindfulness and more together in one place.
On Bay Point Island, Six Senses will support a small community of like-minded, environmentally forward homeowners committed to preserving the island’s unique ecosystems. The residential villas of Bay Point Island will feature state-of-the-art infrastructure, renewable energy, reverse-osmosis water supply and more. These villas will serve as a year-round, home-away-from-home destination, with a limited number soon to be available for sale this year.
Six Senses looks ahead to an exciting year of openings, with its first Caribbean property, Six Senses La Sagesse, coming to Grenada.
