Singapore Airlines launches new routes between Jakarta (CGK) and Sydney (SYD). The airline also plans to increase its Singapore–Jakarta frequency. The new offerings are available Nov. 23, with a Boeing 777 aircraft servicing both.
The Jakarta–Sydney route operates Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Flights depart Jakarta at 22:25, and arrive in Sydney at 9:30, the next day. Return flights depart Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, arriving back in Jakarta at 14:35. Sydney is one of the airline’s busiest destinations, with 31 weekly flights.
The airline adds eight new flights to its Singapore–Jakarta route. Four depart at 13:50, Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday, while another four depart at 20:15, Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday. The route is the busiest on Singapore Airlines’ network, encompassing 63 weekly return flights.
“Indonesia and Australia are already among the most popular destinations in our route network. As a result of healthy demand, we are pleased to be able to offer even more travelling choices with these new Jakarta and Sydney flights,” said Tan Kai Ping, senior vice president, marketing, planning, Singapore Airlines.
