Silversea Cruises recently unveiled new details about its fleet’s 11th ship, Silver Nova, slated for delivery in 2023. For the first time, Silversea’s newest ship will boast a revolutionary asymmetrical design and feature new outdoor spaces, an outward-facing pool deck and a sky bar, all combining to create an unprecedented openness to the destination.

The asymmetrical design enables the development of the reimagined pool area and outdoor venues on decks 10 and 11; spaces emphasize the destination and allow for panoramic views.

Silver Nova represents the next iteration of Silversea’s unique take on luxury, with an entirely new design approach that will enhance our guests’ cruise experience,” said Roberto Martinoli, president and CEO, Silversea. “With her outward-facing, asymmetrical layout and her all-new outdoor venues, Silver Nova will offer our guests a brand new way to connect and engage with each destination. Moreover, with her groundbreaking environmental credentials, Silver Nova will strengthen our position at the forefront of sustainable cruise travel.”

On decks 10 and 11, cruisers will find The Pool Deck and its 280 sunbeds. A horseshoe-shaped pool will occupy an ample amount of space on the starboard side, as well as unobstructed views. The pool is larger than on other Silversea ships and boasts a new layout, wide entrance steps and more shallow spaces. A bar on deck 10 will be a centralized hub and deck 11 forms an amphitheater-shaped structure in conjunction with deck 10. The center-located Cliff Whirlpool, an infinity-edge whirlpool, will be another highlight of this area.

The Marquee and The Dusk Bar will also be located on deck 10. These two new food and beverage venues join six other signature Silversea dining venues. The Marquee, toward the aft on the port side with views out to sea, will offer alfresco seating for 220 and incorporates The Grill and Spaccanapoli, two of the cruise line’s signature venues boasting the “hot rocks” culinary concept. The Dusk Bar is an open-air sky bar with space for 70 and 270-degree views from the stern.

Another hallmark of Silver Nova will be its pioneering sustainability credentials, including becoming the world’s first low-emissions cruise ship with advanced hybrid technology utilizing fuel cells and emitting zero harmful emissions in port.

Silver Nova will be able to accommodate 728 guests across 13 different suite categories.

Williamsburg Inn Review

You don’t have to love brass chandeliers or brocade to appreciate what Williamsburg Inn does best: delivering a polished, unpretentious stay amid America’s most iconic living history museum. This is where you check in for traditional luxury without feeling like you’re trapped in a time capsule. The Queen stayed here (twice), and so did Eisenhower, but you’re not here to make history. You’re here to enjoy it, on your own terms.
