Seoul and its 10 million residents entered the Distancing in Everyday Life phase of COVID-19 countermeasures. Residents will follow personal hygiene guidelines, including washing hands, wearing masks and maintaining a one-meter distance. Drive-through and walk-through screening centers are available.
In response, Seoul Convention Bureau introduced safety measures for its PLUS SEOUL program for meetings, incentives, conventions and exhibitions business. The Zone and Reassuring package allows international events to be organized in an infection-free zone, with comfort and care services provided start to finish. Assistance services are also provided. Seoul’s MICE industry is expanding digitally as well, with BIO KOREA 2020 going fully virtual this year.
