Travelers yet to experience Crowne Plaza’s new design concept, currently rolling out at new and refurbished properties, enjoy the chance to see the brand’s new look at Crowne Plaza Hamburg – City Alster. The property unveiled a series of renovations, including the addition of new brand concepts such as public co-working spaces and Crowne Plaza’s WorkLife guestrooms.
WorkLife guestrooms are designed with special zones for work, relaxation and sleep. Crowne Plaza claims the rooms result in a better night’s sleep, as the carefully designed spaces help the brain know when it’s time to stop working.
New food and drink offerings also contribute to better sleep and stays. Menus offer “power up” items and ingredients like kombucha, chia and acai, as well as sleep-inducing items like Jersey milk with valerian.
“Business is changing, attitudes towards work trips are changing, and how people manage their work-life balance is changing. This shift means people are looking for spaces that are more flexible, on-demand and collaborative, whether that’s in their home city or when they’re traveling. Crowne Plaza Hamburg – City Alster provides a flexible environment for anyone who wants to work on a mobile basis. No longer do hotel guests need to feel isolated in their rooms or confined to a business center to be productive, and no longer do locals need to be scared to walk into a hotel lobby to have a coffee and do some emails for fear of being asked for their room number. By making our spaces open to all, we become part of the fabric of the community,” said Natalia Perez, head, Crowne Plaza brand, InterContinental Hotels Group.
