Saudi Arabian Airlines announced plans to resume direct services between Jeddah (JED) and Manchester, England (MAN) after a seven-year hiatus. The national carrier of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia will offer business and leisure passengers three flights a week between the two cities from March 28. “We are very happy that our plans to return to Manchester have now come to fruition, and that we are now able to offer North West customers a non-stop service to Saudi Arabia,” said Rashid Alajmi, general manager of passenger sales and services for Europe, Saudi Arabian Airlines. “Commercial ties between the North of England and Saudi Arabia have traditionally been very strong and this new service will give business customers in the region the opportunity to travel to Saudi Arabia without having to transfer en-route.”
