Royal Jordanian celebrated the delivery of its first Boeing 787 Dreamliner, becoming only the second airline in the Middle East to operate the 787. The carrier’s Dreamliner features 24 seats in business class and 246 in economy. As part of its plan to modernize its fleet of long-haul aircraft, Royal Jordanian will take delivery of four additional Dreamliners by the end of this year and replace the currently operating Airbus A340 and A330 aircraft.
“We are delighted to receive our first 787 which will not only revolutionize the in-flight experience for our passengers, but also help Royal Jordanian increase its competitiveness both regionally and internationally,” said Nasser Lozi, president and CEO, Royal Jordanian. “Our decision to invest in this game-changing airplane reflects our firm belief in its unrivaled capabilities and will allow us to offer passengers an unmatched level of comfort, on both short- and long-haul flights.”
Royal Jordanian currently offers service to more than 50 destinations around the world and plans to deploy the Dreamliner on flights to North American destinations as well as to Asia, Europe and the Middle East.
