In homage to Sarasota’s address as the winter residence of the Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus, The Ritz-Carlton Spa, Sarasota has introduced it’s own twist on traditional Ashiatsu massage, administered as a foot massage from a therapist while he or she supports their own weight with ceiling bars. The new Aerial Silk Massage replaces ceiling bars with the flowing silks favored by circus aerialists. The therapy is delivered on a special floor-level massage bed within the candle-lit Aerial Silk Massage room, positioned beneath flowing silk panels suspended from the ceiling. Guests choose from a selection of scented or unscented therapeutic oils, and pick out themed music to accompany their treatment.
