The Caribe Hilton in San Juan re-opened last week following a $150 million restoration. The property was closed after Hurricane Maria and 20 months were spent preparing the resort for its reopening.

The property, the first Hilton hotel to open outside the continental United States in 1949, offers nearly 700 guestrooms, all of which received extensive renovations. Upgrades were made to all public spaces as well, including building exteriors. The fitness and spa building was rebuilt and now offers oceanfront views and new fitness equipment. The open-air lobby was redesigned to provide better ocean views and the 11 food and beverage outlets received new looks as well. Modernized meeting space includes new audiovisual equipment.
