In May 2019, Salvatore Ferragamo of Il Borro Wines will take to the skies to host a private charter flight of the Crystal Skye. The Boeing 777-200LR has been touted as the most spacious and luxurious private jet flying. This special flight from Sarasota, Florida, to South Africa will include a tasting of wine selections from Ferragamo’s Italian estate vineyard.

Facilitated by Admiral Travel International, the expedition differs from typical Crystal Skye flights because it allows for individual seats to be purchased, rather than a full charter. The jet is fitted with 88 handcrafted, fully reclining flatbed seats styled after first-class airline seats, while the exclusive onboard experience comes with a stand-up bar and social lounge, a mixologist, an executive chef, dining tables that convert to gaming tables and a team of Skye Attendants.

If it’s been awhile since you sailed with Crystal, plan for a treat. In the midst of a redesign, the Crystal Serenity’s exclusive guest spaces include 36 new Seabreeze Penthouses and two Seabreeze Penthouse Suites replacing verandah suites. While overall guest capacity will decrease to 980, the number of service crew remains the same, ensuring an even better guest-to-crew ratio.

Personalized butler services, bathrooms that evoke luxury spas, walk-in closets, private verandahs and luxurious linens will create a haven at sea that promises to provide a true sense of sanctuary perfect to retreat to at the end of long day of port exploration.
