Plaza Premium is making plans to open a new airport lounge in Helsinki (HEL).
The new lounge is scheduled to come online in February 2019, and it will be located in the non-Schengen area of the airport, part of the extension of the terminal’s central plaza. The lounge will have a “live kitchen,” shower facilities, charging ports, free WiFi, computer work stations and a kids’ area.
“Our decision to expand to Helsinki Airport was a natural one. Finland is a major transit hub offering the shortest route between Europe and Asia,” said Jonathan Song, business development director, Plaza Premium Group. “We look forward to extending our airport hospitality expertise in our third market in Europe. This partnership will be another major milestone in achieving our global ambitions.”
Plaza Premium has lounges in more than 40 international airports, including London (LHR), Abu Dhabi (AUH), Sydney (SYD), Hong Kong (HKG), Shanghai (PVG) and Singapore (SIN).
