Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts and Diriyah Gate Development Authority recently announced plans for Four Seasons Hotel Diriyah, Saudi Arabia. Diriyah, a 300-year-old site, is considered the birthplace of the Kingdom with a nod to the district’s rich history and culture.
“Diriyah is an exceptional project that speaks to the tremendous growth and economic development in the region, while remaining deeply rooted in the destination’s historic and cultural past,” said Bart Carnahan, president, Global Business Development and Portfolio Management, Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts. “Saudi Arabia is an important growth market for Four Seasons, and we are proud to be part of Diriyah’s exciting future. We look forward to partnering with DGDA to bring the Four Seasons luxury experience to life within this iconic, landmark development.”
With approximately 150 rooms and suites, Four Seasons Hotel Diriyah, Saudi Arabia will also feature expansive meeting and event spaces, a wellness spa with seven treatment rooms, two outdoor pools with private cabanas and a fitness center. The property will also boast four on-site dining venues, including a sunset lounge and a poolside restaurant.
With design architects Aedas and Elastik leading the design and style of the hotel, Four Seasons Hotel Diriyah, Saudi Arabia will sit adjacent to Diriyah’s culturally rooted district, offering stunning views toward the west and the UNESCO World Heritage site, At-Turaif.
The development of Diriyah comprises part of the Kingdom’s Saudi Vision 2030.
Diriyah will soon become one of the Middle East’s most walkable, pedestrian-friendly cities, designed to honor the heritage of the area, featuring traditional Najdi architecture. Just 15 minutes outside of the city center of Riyadh, Diriyah will include 13 unique districts featuring residences, office spaces, museums, cultural institutions, outdoor attractions and residences.
“It is a delight to be partnering with Four Seasons. Renowned for their unforgettable guest experiences, Four Seasons is working alongside DGDA to elevate what travelers can experience within Diriyah, showcasing their timeless approach to hospitality whilst staying true to Diriyah’s rich cultural past,” said Jerry Inzerillo, group CEO, Diriyah Gate Development Authority. “We are excited to share further developments on this project in the coming months.”
The most recent addition to Four Seasons’ growing portfolio, Four Seasons Hotel Diriyah, Saudi Arabia will lie just a short drive from the existing Four Seasons Hotel Riyadh at Kingdom Centre.
