Allegheny Health Network operated a COVID-19 vaccination clinic last week at Pittsburgh International Airport’s Concourse C to administer the Pfizer vaccine to any airport staff and passengers. More than 100 people took advantage of the clinic.
The vaccination site marks the airport’s most recent community partnership since the beginning of the pandemic. In addition to promoting Safe Travels awareness, the airport also hosted food distribution events in the parking lot, cargo flights carrying PPE and in-terminal COVID testing, among other initiatives.
A second shot clinic is scheduled for Friday, May 14, for staff at the airport, and passengers who received their first shot can work directly with AHN to schedule their second inoculations.
