Philippine Airlines will roll out all-new business-class and premium-economy seats on flights to Sydney (SYD) and Melbourne (MEl) by July 15.
The airline is updating eight of its Airbus A330 jets with premium cabins, a convenient upgrade for frequent business and corporate travellers flying between the key destinations.
The new business class will be a significant improvement from the dated recliners of the airline’s current A340s, which will be replaced by the A330s on both the Sydney–Manila (MNL) and Melbourne–Manila routes.
“As we journey on to becoming a 5-star, world-class, full service carrier with a heart, we devote our efforts toward enhancing the total travel experience. Our cabin reconfiguration efforts combined with meticulous seat and IFE selection are in line with our goal to make each and every flight pleasant, comfortable and convenient,” said Jaime J. Bautista, president and chief operating officer, Philippine Airlines.
The new business classes will feature lie-flat seats, direct aisle access and 18.5-inch video screens, along with ample personal and work space at each seat.
The premium-economy cabin will feature spacious seats, AC and USB power sockets and 13.3-inch video displays.
