Following a RMB 890 million renovation, The Peninsula Beijing debuts the city’s most spacious guestrooms. The property’s prior 525 guestrooms are cut down to 230 suite-style guestrooms, each boasting a separate bedroom, living room, bathroom and dressing room, complete with valet box and nail dryer. The standard guestroom size is 65 square metres. Guestrooms also offer personalized tech options, including paperless hotel information in 11 languages. The property’s 61 official suites account for 25 per cent of the hotel’s accommodation offerings, including the luxurious Peninsula Suite and 17 Beijing Suites. Beijing Suites are 165 square metres, each with larger living and dining spaces and private cinemas.

Four new restaurants and lounges are home to the hotel’s team of 90 chefs. Ingredients are sourced from 22 nearby farms, as well as the on-site greenhouse. The new lobby restaurant serves international cuisine, plus Peninsula Afternoon Tea. International restaurant Jing is revealed as a Chinese garden-themed, farm-to-table restaurant helmed by Spanish chef Alberto Becerril. The property’s signature Chinese restaurant Huang Ting debuts a new menu in honor of the remodel, emphasizing Cantonese cuisine. The new Huang Ting Tea Lounge is adjacent and serves 50 types of Chinese tea and dim sum.

The newly finished, restyled rooms are available for guests this month. The entire renovation is scheduled to complete early next year.
