Cathay and Hong Kong Olympic swimmer Siobhan Haughey recently debuted a new collaboration with the athlete as the airline’s brand ambassador. Haughey will be featured in Cathay’s latest advertisements with their shared belief with all of Hong Kong that “Every Move Counts.”
“I am honoured to be the brand ambassador of Cathay. Cathay has always been a source of pride for Hong Kong, and I have cherished memories of travelling with my family on Cathay flights,” said Haughey. “The impeccable service and attention to detail left a lasting impression on me. Whenever I return home on a Cathay Pacific flight after my training or competitions abroad, hearing the familiar cabin announcements brings a sense of warmth and security. I believe Cathay holds a special place in the hearts of many Hong Kong people, and it remains the preferred airline for me and my family when we travel.”
In the advertisements, travelers get a glimpse into Haughey’s daily training routine. Born and raised in Hong Kong, she diligently practiced swimming from a young age, and the camera captures her dedication and pursuit of excellence in the ads, which echoes the spirit of the Hong Kong people who strive for breakthroughs by recognizing the significance of every little move. Cathay does the same, making every move count, no matter how small.
“We are delighted to have Siobhan represent Cathay as our brand ambassador, reflecting our shared commitment to making every move count in our respective fields,” said Ronald Lam, chief executive officer, Cathay. “Siobhan is not only a world-class athlete, but she is also a genuine symbol of Hong Kong’s diligent pursuit of excellence on the global stage. As we embark on a new journey with Siobhan, we strive to inspire our customers and the people of Hong Kong with our meticulous attention to detail, and help them move forward in life.”

Jun 12, 2024Hôtel des Grands Voyageurs Review
It’s often declared Paris’ Left Bank, or La Rive Gauche, the local side of the Seine — where bohemian and chic are used superfluously, albeit with some veracity. It only makes sense that travelers looking to stay on the Left Bank would seek as local an accommodation as possible — Hôtel des Grands Voyageurs is the new kid on the block and certainly delivers this with its design following the likes of a Parisian art collectors’ residence.
