Norwegian Cruise Line took delivery of its newest ship, Norwegian Encore, ahead of its naming ceremony Nov. 21. The 1,100-foot-long ship boasts a guest capacity of nearly 4,000. Since Norwegian Cruise Line took delivery of the shi, Oct. 30, Norwegian Encore sailed from Germany to England before making its way to New York City, then Miami, where the christening ceremony takes place next week.

Norwegian Encore features the longest race track at sea, the largest outdoor laser tag arena and new immersive entertainment experiences. Norwegian Encore is the first Norwegian Cruise Line ship to debut as plastic bottle-free, though the cruise line plans to eliminate all plastic bottles across its fleet by the end of the year.

Norwegian Encore is slated for week-long voyages across the Eastern Caribbean this fall and winter, with Canada and New England itineraries starting next fall. In 2021, the ship moves on to Alaska for its West Coast debut.
