Travelers looking to fly between London and Rio de Janeiro have a few new options from Norwegian. The flight follows Norwegian’s route between London and Buenos Aires (EZE) and will launch March 31, 2019, connecting Rio de Janeiro (GIG) to London Gatwick Airport.

The flight will commence four times weekly, flown by a 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft.

“We’re building on our expansive global network by launching our first flights to Brazil and making South America available to even more people. Our new Rio de Janeiro route breaks the monopoly on direct flights between the UK and Brazil as we’re committed to lowering fares and making travel more affordable for all leisure and business travelers,” said Bjørn Kjos, chief executive officer, Norwegian.

In addition to the new route connecting London and Rio de Janeiro, Norwegian increases the frequency of its Gatwick–Buenos Aires flights.
