Family-owned, boutique hotel brand Noble House Hotels & Resorts announced its newest addition: San Diego’s Estancia La Jolla Hotel and Spa. Pebblebrook Hotel Trust, the owner of the coastal hotel, will manage the property.
Built in the late 19th century as an equestrian estate, Estancia covers 10 acres of beautiful land in the center of La Jolla, a neighborhood of San Diego. The hacienda-style resort includes 210 guestrooms and suites centered around courtyards and gardens, making it the perfect venue for weddings and other special events.
“We are proud to welcome the incredible Estancia into our collection of properties,” said Jake Donoghue, CEO, Noble House Hotels & Resorts. “Noble House has a history of carrying forward timeless, iconic resorts, and we plan to celebrate Estancia’s rich history through a wide range of wellness programs and locally crafted experiences that together will serve to complement our other properties in the San Diego market, including L’Auberge Del Mar, San Diego Mission Bay Resort and Kona Kai Resort & Spa.”
In addition to the spacious rooms and venues, the hotel also offers several indoor and outdoor restaurants, such as the award-winning Mustangs & Burros. The hotel also features the 7,000-square-foot Spa Estancia where guests can receive treatments, facials and massages in 11 indoor and outdoor treatment rooms, eucalyptus steam room and outdoor saltwater pool with cabanas.
Did the new film Oppenheimer rouse your interest in the nefarious world of international espionage? You can go straight to the real-life setting for covert actions this November (Nov. 10–12), when La Fonda on the Plaza in Santa Fe hosts a specially themed “Spies, Lies and Nukes” weekend. The hotel actually served as the retreat location for Manhattan Project scientists, who stayed at La Fonda on the Plaza to take a break from the stress of their work. During the weekend, the property’s La Fiesta Lounge will make a tasty nod to those days by serving up a special Atomic Martini.
One affordable plan can protect an entire year of trips: business or pleasure, short or long, domestic or international.
