A new mural, by Northern California artist Bryan Valenzuela, now graces the historic Napa Valley Wine Train’s terminal lobby. Entitled “Daisy Chain,” the large-scale work is dominated by two interlocked hands, representing the strong sense of community and helping hands that arose around the tragic North Bay wildfires, devastating much of Napa and Sonoma Valley last fall.

Symbolic elements include a swirling silver and gold pattern symbolizing flames, smoke and chaos. The colors are overlaid with the reassuring image of the two hands locked in support, composed from thousands of handwritten words created as a poetic narrative by the artist telling the story of the emotions and events that accompanied the wildfires.
