A September opening for the new Solaz Resort Los Cabos is planned, with 128 ocean view guestrooms including 115 deluxe rooms and 13 suites. Mexican architects Sordo Madaleno and renowned Mexican artist César López-Negrete created a coastal work of art of contemporary design spanning a 34-acre stretch of Mexican real estate connecting the desert and sea. Curving private terraces provide views of the Sea of Cortez, while each guest space has a private entrance and patio.
Within, guests will find original art by López-Negrete and modern furnishings featuring indoor and outdoor marble showers. López-Negrete calls upon the area’s history and folklore traditions in his work, which includes sculpture and photography of multiple proportions, perfectly balancing the resort’s spaces.
Guests enjoy complimentary WiFi, a dedicated “Artisan” curating their stay, water activities and four Olympic-sized infinity pools — created from butterfly green granite to suggest the teal waters of the Sea of Cortez.
At the Ojo de Liebre Spa, treatments include Thalasso Therapy with experiences ranging from chronotherapy light showers and aromatherapy, to the Himalayan Salt Igloo and both salt and freshwater therapy pools. The hotel is part of Marriott Internationals’ The Luxury Collection, made up of unique hotels and resorts in fabulous destinations in more than 30 countries.
