One of the most impressive new museums to debut amidst Berlin’s already-rich museum offerings is the Kunsthaus Dahlem, with a riveting exhibition devoted to Postwar German Modernism from East and West Germany, spanning the years from 1945–1961. The museum is housed in an historic building that once served as studio space for the controversial sculptor Arno Breker, who produced works for Albert Speer. Exhibits include a sculpture garden featuring more than 20 works by Bernhard Heiliger. Other featured artists include Jeanne Mammen, Louise Stomps, Heinz Trökes, Karl Hartung, Ruthild Hahne and Hans Uhlmann.
