As interest in Cuba travel increases, the airline, hotel and cruise industries are tasked with meeting the growing demand. After a long wait, Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings received permission for three brands, Norwegian Cruise Line, Regent Seven Seas Cruises and Oceania, to sail Cuba cruises beginning March 2017.

Oceania revealed its first three inaugural cruises from Miami to Cuba beginning in March 2017. The cruise line will sail one 14-day and two 10-day Caribbean cruises from Miami aboard Marina and will call in Havana, with two of its voyages staying overnight and offering two full days in the iconic Cuba destination.

“We are tremendously excited to have received approval by Cuban authorities to offer cruises to Cuba from the United States aboard our acclaimed Marina. I believe there is no better way to experience the unique culture, beauty and diversity of Cuba than by cruise,” stated Frank Del Rio, president and chief executive officer, Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings Ltd., the parent company of Oceania Cruises.

The Norwegian Sky announced four-night voyages in May 2017 also overnighting in Havana, while Seven Seas Mariner will call on Havana during two cruises in April.

The permission from the Cuban government expires in May, but until that time guests can enjoy a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to experience Cuba’s iconic culture and unparalleled natural beauty.
