More and more travelers book accommodations near national parks, according to a report from Homeaway.com.
The report, an analysis of Homeaway.com’s own booking data, shows American travelers have an expanding desire to visit and tour national parks. Year over year, demand for bookings near national parks increased by 30 percent, Homeaway.com said. Large parks, including Congaree and Yellowstone, bookings increased by more than 150 percent and 65 percent.
Homeaway makes booking properties within an hour of the parks convenient and affordable.
“We’re seeing a trend toward home stays in off-the-beaten-path locations, and our latest data serves up some of the strongest evidence yet,” said Melanie Fish, travel expert, HomeAway. “Our new collection is there to inspire exploration, and proves that spending the day in nature can be followed by a bubble bath with a roof over your head.”
