A new celebration of American counterculture recently opened in New York City’s East Village by way of MOXY East Village.

MOXY East Village is the latest property to debut under the Moxy umbrella. The hotel sits on East 11^th Street, directly across from Webster Hall. It features 286 guestrooms in addition to plentiful co-working stations and technological amenities.

One of the hotel’s most distinctive features is its vertical design. The building acts as a vertical history lesson, with different floors showing touches of inspiration from different decades in the iconic neighborhood.

Tao Group Hospitality operates the hotel’s four new dining and drinking venues. Three of the venues, including a bar and café and a couple restaurants, are already open. The property’s rooftop bar will open this coming spring.

Moxy East Village fits into the broader Moxy scheme by making cultural integration among the surrounding neighborhoods a high priority. As a result, a large number of the programing in the hotel consists of local creators sharing their crafts with guests and locals staying at the property.

There are 46 Moxy properties in North America, Europe and Asia, and 106 properties in the pipeline.
