Malaysia Airlines announced plans to introduce daily flights between Kuala Lumpur (KUL) and Kochi, India (COK), and reinstate flights to Dubai (DXB) and Darwin, Australia (DRW). The carrier will operate daily flights to Kochi from Sept. 1 and five flights a week to Darwin from Nov. 1 with Boeing 737-800 aircraft, featuring 16 seats in business and 144 in economy. Due to popular demand, MAS will resume daily flights to Dubai from Aug. 5 with Boeing 777-200 aircraft, featuring 35 seats in business and 247 in economy.

“As the national carrier, we have decided to operate to these three cities, Dubai, Kochi and Darwin, to introduce Malaysia to new markets. We are happy to reinstate Dubai and Darwin into Malaysia Airlines’ network to extend our reach and strengthen our offering to customers,” said Ahmad Jauhari Yaha, CEO of Malaysia Airlines.

Last month, the airline increased its flights to Phuket (HKT) to 26 times weekly with the introduction of one new daily service, added a 12th service on its Mumbai (BOM) route and also boosted its flights to Kathmandu (KTM) from five times weekly to seven.
