Israel’s rich and fascinating history is a given — and when it comes to mixing business with pleasure, there’s plenty on offer. So many options, in fact, that the Israel Ministry of Tourism has a new website dedicated to exploring conference facilities, meeting spaces, hospitality offerings, and convention and incentive travel planning.
Since the results of all work and no play are pretty well established, meetings can be rounded out with the pleasure of discovering Israel’s multitude of museums and sites. On June 19, Design Museum Holon unveils a new exhibit of works by Israeli architect and museum designer Rod Arad, who designed New York’s 9/11 memorial. Also new: Weizmann Institute for Science’s Levinson Visitors Center, with a multimedia overview of scientific projects country-wide; and a commemorative exhibition of Tel Aviv’s architectural history — and 4,000-plus Bauhaus-style buildings — on display through June 30 at Tel Aviv Port (Namal).
