Part of the exclusive Autograph Collection, Hotel EMC2 in Chicago expanded its business offerings with two new multifunction meeting spaces. The rooms, called Emmy Noether and Symmetry, total just less than 2,000 square feet and are located on the second and third floors of the property. Each can be configured as a boardroom, u-shaped meeting space, classroom or as banquet and theater space. The Symmetry room includes a 690-square-foot terrace facing Ontario Street. Both rooms are fitted with Crestor RL2 Group Collaboration Systems with customizable audiovisual capabilities with 10-inch touchscreens, table microphones, built-in speakers, ear-set microphones, Lavalier microphones and Solstice Pod streaming video players.

Each space also boasts art by British mathematician, musician, author and artist Eugenia Cheng, Ph.D. Cheng serves as the Scientist in Residence at the School of the Art Institute in Chicago. Specially commissioned pieces by Cheng are designed to be moved, exposing two 75-inch monitors in Emmy Noether and two 65-inch monitors in Symmetry. The spaces are framed with vintage books exploring art, science, physics, history and mathematics. Elsewhere, the hotel offers 195 elegant guestrooms, excellent dining options including restaurant-quality dining in meeting spaces and a convenient location in the thick of the Magnificent Mile shopping district in the city’s Streeterville neighborhood.
