Marriott announced the opening of the new design-focused Aloft Taipei Beitou Hotel, the second Aloft hotel in Taipei. The hotel brings a modern twist to the century-old hot spring destination of Beitou.

The 292-room hotel features vibrant design and innovative technology located just steps from natural hot springs and only five minutes to two Metro stations allowing for easy access to Taipei’s downtown area and attractions such as Beitou Thermal Valley, Beitou Hot Spring Museum and Sakura Tunnel.

“Taiwan draws both business and leisure travellers, and we look forward to bringing the Aloft brand’s tech-forward, vibrant experience and a modern style that is different by design to Beitou,” said Stephen Ho, chief executive officer, Greater China, Marriott International.

The hotel’s interior décor is inspired by the brand’s love of music and technology as well as Beitou’s natural landscape. Both guestrooms and public areas display local artwork, and the modern loft-inspired rooms and suites are equipped with SPG Keyless technology, a mobile check-in system allowing guests to use their phones as room keys, as well as free high-speed WiFi and a 43-inch LCD TV linked to Plug & Play connectivity.

Guests can enjoy Aloft Taipei Beitou Hotel’s signature restaurant Nook, the stylish Re:mix lounge, the brand’s signature W:XYZ bar and a Re:charge gym open 24/7. There’s even a pet-friendly terrace with water bowls and a special pet-friendly menu.
