Marriott’s luxury-lifestyle EDITION brand will expand its growing portfolio with the opening of a new hotel in Iceland, scheduled to open in 2018. Located on the harbor waterfront in the heart of downtown Reykjavik, the 250-room property will be situated immediately adjacent to Harpa, the city’s award-winning concert and conference hall.
“Iceland is emerging as one of the most popular tourism destinations in the world for global travelers and we couldn’t be more excited to introduce our EDITION brand to this vibrant country,” said Sandeep Walia, area vice president, Marriott International, Inc., in Europe.
With open properties in New York, London and Miami, Marriott’s EDITION brand offers great design and true innovation as well as personal, friendly and modern service and one-of-a-kind food, beverage and entertainment options.
Future hotels are planned for Abu Dhabi (2016); Sanya, China (2016); Bangkok (2016); Times Square (2018); West Hollywood (2018); Reykjavik, Iceland (2018); Wuhan, China (2019); and Bali, Indonesia (2019).
