Marriott International is debuting in Bali with the opening of Sthala, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel, Ubud Bali, in Indonesia’s highly sought-after uplands district.

Perched on a hilltop amongst lush tropical landscape, Sthala offers stunning views of the Wos River Valley, blending seamlessly with the surrounding landscape. The hotel design is a true celebration of Balinese tradition, with colors, architectural features and décor in keeping with the destination’s culture and history. The 143-room hotel offers world-class services and amenities including a state-of-the-art fitness center, a yoga deck and a Balinese premium spa, combining wellness and cultural experiences for guests.

The hotel also offers distinctive dining options including The Naga Rooftop Bar & Lounge, featuring an open, airy atmosphere and sweeping views of the surrounding valley and rivers and Sungai Restaurant, an all-day dining experience that offers Asian cuisine with Balinese touches, as well as a range of Western dishes. Guests can also enjoy a swim at the Panorama Pool and Sundeck Lounge, while sipping handcrafted cocktails in front of a backdrop of the Wos River and surrounding forests.
The new hotel was built in response to Marriott’s loyalty members’ desires for more access to hotel choices in Indonesia, and Sthala’s unique cultural offerings and design combined with high-quality Marriott service is setting the bar high for hotels in the popular island destination.
