Grab your nearest and dearest, leave the chill behind and warm up in Los Cabos, Mexico, at boutique Mar del Cabo by Velas Resorts — but check your calendar first. The new Romantic Full Moon Experience will only be offered on nights when the moon is full (Dec. 15 of this year, and Jan. 13 and Feb. 12 of 2025). Full Moon Experiences will be led by a wellness coach, and begin with a full moon sound healing therapy held at sunrise on the beach along the Sea of Cortez.

Participants will follow up the morning sound healing session with a Soul and Body Filling breakfast and a menu designed to nourish and energize. This meal is followed by Paint by the Sea, intended to capitalize on creative full moon energy; and Lunch with Purpose, where dishes celebrate the region’s abundance of fresh, local ingredients. Later in the day, as the moon prepares to appear, participants take part in a sacred cacao ceremony. This ritual, believed to foster emotional clarity and a sense of loving union, features pure, ceremonial-grade cacao.

As night falls, guests enjoy a Full Moon Robata Picnic, with four courses served by the sea beneath the moon’s silvery light. Plant-based dishes include such options as falafel medallions with tzatziki and cucumber; grilled portobello steak prepared with smoked olive oil; and roasted peaches served with rosemary and coconut lemon sorbet. The meal will be served with delicious, creative mocktails infused with natural herbs.
