Mandarin Oriental Palace, Luzern opened recently following a renovation led by local architects Iwan Bühler Architekten and London-based interior designers Jestico + Whiles. A Belle Époque landmark in Lucerne, the property boasts incredible views over the Swiss Alps.
“Nearly three years after announcing Mandarin Oriental’s arrival in Lucerne, we are getting ready to welcome our first guests to this historic, local monument that has now been transformed,” said Christian Wildhaber, general manager. “The Palace has been deeply rooted in the local community since 1906 and we look forward to welcoming the local community back to their home on the lake. My team and I are looking forward to delighting locals and visitors from all over the world with Mandarin Oriental’s renowned service.”
The Swiss landscape blended with a Mediterranean color palette served as inspiration for the redesign of the 136 guestrooms, including 48 large suites. Most accommodations have private balconies or terraces, and all feature amenities by Diptyque, Dyson and Bose.
Four restaurants and bars offer cuisine crafted by Michelin-starred Executive Chef Gilad Peled. All-day MOzern Bar & Brasserie serves Asian cuisine, afternoon tea and more. Quai 10 overlooks Lake Lucerne with al fresco dining, and French Haute cuisine can be found at Colonnade. Minamo, a Japanese restaurant, boasts a six-seat, intimate environment.
Four newly renovated meeting and event venues and SPA Bellefontaine, with a state-of-the-art fitness center, complete the unparalleled offerings.
