India Overtakes China as World’s Most Populous Country
In the June 21 issue of eFlyer, we covered the news of India officially becoming the world’s most populous country, overtaking China. We wrote about the country’s plans to increase tourism through new projects. We asked: Have you traveled to India before? Are you excited to see India become a new travel hub in Asia? One reader wrote in:
While I wasn’t surprised to hear India is now the most populous country, I am now intrigued to see how India approaches its tourism industry in the coming years to both accommodate its large population and the increased interest from international visitors.
I also find it interesting the middle class in India is growing, and I’m glad to see not only are more travelers visiting India, but also more people from India are going abroad to travel.

Wildlife Encounters at U.S. Tourist Spots Leave Many Wary
In our July 26 issue of eFlyer, we wrote about some recent animal encounters, including one fatal animal attack, across U.S. parks and tourist spots. We asked: Do you have any additional tips for travelers planning a trip to a park? One reader wrote in:
Florida native here, and as someone who has had their fair share of encounters with Florida wildlife (alligators, snakes and spiders, etc.), I have learned a few things. If you encounter an alligator, never feed it. Alligators fed by humans quickly take to being fed, resulting in them approaching humans, sometimes with aggression.
If you see a snake on any number of trails or in a park, do not disturb it, but remember to stay calm. Snakes can feel your vibration and will know you’re much bigger than them. Should you be bitten by a snake and you’re not sure if it’s venomous, it’s important to remain calm and tie off the area above the wound with something tight to slow the poison.
Florida parks and its natural landscapes are beautiful, but to best enjoy them, respect the wildlife calling these places home.

What are the Most Powerful Passports in 2023?
In our July 19 issue of eFlyer, we covered Henley & Partners’ unveiling of its annual Passport Index, in which it found the Singapore passport is the most powerful in 2023. We asked: Did any ranking surprise you? One reader wrote in:
I was most surprised to see the United Arab Emirates rank so high, at No. 12. While I knew the country has drastically grown across several industries, learning the country was 56th in the world just 10 years
ago wowed me. I hope to visit the U.A.E. one day, and seeing the country so high in the rankings is a great sign.
I found the high rankings of Latvia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Lithuania and Estonia as unexpected, too. Interesting to see the United States and Lithuania tie for global mobility.
