The Madrid EDITION announced it will open in preview phase this month, marking itself as Madrid’s first luxury, lifestyle urban resort. With two on-site restaurants led by an award-winning chef, three unique bar concepts and a great outdoor pool, the property will set a new standard for luxury accommodations.
“This is not just a hotel. It’s much more than merely a place to sleep. It is a true hub of popular culture, entertainment and social interaction that is a microcosm of the best of Madrid and that perfectly captures the city’s spirit and essence,” said Ian Schrager, the pioneer of the boutique and lifestyle concept for both EDITION and PUBLIC hotels. “It’s about creating an original and new kind of gathering place for both locals and visitors alike.”
The hotel will feature 200 guestrooms and suites, as well as several connecting units for friends and families. The Lobby Bar will offer guests a social space to gather and enjoy hand-crafted cocktails and drinks. The hotel’s two restaurants, Jerónimo and Punch Room, will invite guests to try its delicious dishes. Jerónimo’s menu features a cuisine heavily influenced by Mexico’s traditional culinary roots, while Punch Room offers Asian bites.
The Madrid EDITION also boasts an entertainment venue on the lower ground floor, set to rival Madrid’s nightlife scene. The hotel’s rooftop will be the biggest in Madrid, featuring 60 sunbeds, 10 cabanas and the hotel’s other restaurant, Oroya.
