Lotte New York Palace announced the opening of a new signature restaurant, VILLARD. The eatery is located within the hotel’s Villard Mansion, a historic space once a neo-Italian Renaissance residence. Guests enjoy two dining rooms, the Gold Room and Bar and the Gallery Room. The Gold Room and Bar is almost entirely decorated in gold, with gilt ceilings, walls and wainscoting. A suspended balcony adorns one end of the room. The Gallery Room boasts a more modern look, with natural lighting. Villard offers a new power breakfast as early as 6:30 a.m., through the week and 7 a.m., on weekends, made up of New American cuisine inspired by European cafés. Local and house-made ingredients make up the tempting fare, including brioche pudding French toast with bourbon-spiked maple syrup, dry-aged New York strip steak and eggs, and spinach and gruyere popovers. Oscar Granados oversees the restaurant, combining classical training with international influences. “This is an exciting new chapter for Lotte New York Palace, and I look forward to bringing VILLARD to the forefront of the New York City breakfast and brunch scene. The breakfast room at VILLARD will be a unique and welcomed addition to the Midtown East neighborhood for hotel guests, local residents and business executives as well,” said Martin Mariano, director of food and beverage, Lotte New York Palace. The restaurant seats 100 and is open Monday–Friday, 6:30 a.m.–3:00 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday, 7:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m.
