LATAM Airlines Group announced plans to offer three new international routes in 2018: Boston (BOS), Rome (FCO) and Lisbon (LIS) — all to/from its São Paulo (GRU) hub in Brazil, increasing connectivity from North America and Europe to Latin America.
Boston marks the sixth addition to the airline’s U.S. offerings.
“The start of the direct route to São Paulo not only continues to demonstrate our commitment to strengthening the network between the United States and South America, but reinforces our position as the leading carrier within the region,” said Pablo Chiozza, senior vice president of North America, the Caribbean and Asia, LATAM.
With the three new routes, the airline will operate flights to 143 destinations in 26 countries. Since the beginning of 2016, the airline announced and launched 25 international routes to destinations including Johannesburg (JNB), Barcelona (BCN), San José (SJU) and Washington, D.C. (IAD).
