A member of the Swiss Deluxe Hotels collection, the property first opened in 1868. The romantic spaces were the setting for the novel Hotel du Lac by Anita Brookner (Vintage, 1995), and reopened in 2007 following a renovation directed by French interior architect Pierre-Yves Rochon. Guests can spoil themselves with indulgent treatments and therapies at the hotel’s Dr. Burgener Switzerland Care & Spa, with choices including the Hydrating Swiss Milk wrap and the Swiss Cocoa wrap, along with the Volcanic Glacial massage.
