Marriott International signed an agreement to bring the JW Marriott brand to Madrid. The hotel will be located in the central Plaza de Canalejas, and the design will be led by local architects Arvo Arquitectura de Juan, with interiors handled by the Madrid team at Rockwell Group.

The central location will offer guests an ideal base to explore the city, including the Prado, Thyssen-Bornemisza and Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofia. Galeria Canalejas is next to the future hotel, offering more than 40 boutiques. The design will balance warmth, mindfulness, natural elements and interesting textures. The plan includes 139 guestrooms, a lobby bar, a restaurant and wellbeing spaces.
