One of Palm Desert, California’s, signature hotel properties recently finalized its biggest-ever redesign. The JW Marriott Desert Springs Resort and Spa is home to 884 guestrooms and nearly 250,000 square feet of event space. Every facet of the property has been redesigned.
One of the first things guests will notice when they arrive is the reimagined lobby entrance. Water displays, art installations and an atrium boost the aesthetic and atmosphere of the entire lobby.
Of the property’s 884 guestrooms, 101 are new suites. All of the accommodations include bulk amenities and hydration offerings to reduce plastic waste. The property’s event space honors Frank Sinatra with a Mid-Century design and multiple shades of blue for “Ol’ Blue Eyes” covering the Sinatra Ballroom.
There is also a large amount of outdoor space and venues, giving guests ample room to spread out and relax. Finally, there are new spa treatments and wellness offerings, ensuring guests never lose sight of relaxation or wellness while visiting. Outdoor venues facilitate events, including live music, themed parties, outdoor dining and much more.

It was more than a car journey; it was a transition between worlds. At our first hotel in Siem Reap, huge coaches constantly pulled up outside the lobby to deposit or receive international tour groups; we departed in very different style, in a 1965 black Mercedes limousine once owned by King Sihanouk. The mundanities of mass tourism were left behind. We progressed through the chaotic Cambodian streets in regal comfort and soon arrived at a solid gate.
