Japan Airlines customers who want to avoid passengers with babies can use a new tool from the airline to plan seating accordingly. 

In a recent update to its online booking platform, Japan Airlines made it possible for passengers to see where babies are seated. The system shows a tiny baby’s face on the seat map when passengers select seats.

The indicator is valid for children between 8 days and 2 years old. The map isn’t infallible, though. It only works for flights booked directly through Japan Airlines’ website. If an aircraft change is required, the icons will also not show up for future booking on that flight, the airline said.

The feature gained attention when passengers discovered the tool and posted it to social media, thanking the airline for the new option. Other Twitter users chimed in telling the original poster to “get over themselves,” among other things.

Many travelers will point to potentially screaming kids as hindrance to any flight experience, but even if kids aren’t well behaved, there are ways to reduce the noise of your surroundings with noise-cancelling headphones, movies, audio books or just getting to sleep once the kids quiet down.

Travelers with infants and small children flying with Japan Airlines have a number of services available to make the experience a little easier.  The airline allows passengers to use their personal strollers up until boarding, and in some airports, has a stroller lending option for families who aren’t toting one internationally. The airline also offers priority boarding, child menus and more for families with small children.
