Travellers flying internationally on Japan Airlines in the coming months are in for a price increase thanks to an increased fuel surcharge.
The surcharge applies to tickets purchased between October and November 2018 on international flights originating in Japan. The airline sets surcharge levels on a bi-monthly basis based on the average price of Singapore kerosene-type jet fuel, JAL said.
Fuel surcharges will range from 1,000 yen on a Japan–Korea flight to 14,000 yen on a Japan–United States flight.
