Thanks to an extensive renovation, everything old is beautifully new again at Islander Resort in the Florida Keys. All 114 bungalows and suites, plus the property’s 25 two-bedroom townhome villas, resort grounds, amenities, programming, events spaces and dining venues have been refreshed.

“We’ve created a sanctuary that redefines the essence of island life, a place to reconnect — with nature, with loved ones and with yourself,” said Douglas Wilkins, SVP, HHM Hotels. “We are excited to welcome our guests and community to the new era of Islander Resort. The resort is a long beloved gem in the Upper Keys and our reimagined offerings invite everyone to slow down and let the Keys inspire you.”

Guests can enjoy a dozen new Cabana Poolside Rooms with generously sized patios providing access to dedicated poolside cabanas enhanced by food and drink services. Perfect for extended stays, the collection of Bayside Villas has two bedrooms, living areas fitted with a sofa bed, private decks and gourmet kitchens. Additionally, villa guests have access to both Emerald Beach and the Sunset Pool. Bungalows average 350 square feet and have private, furnished patios.

Located within the property’s 24 acres, the 2-acre Seaside Sports area provides guests with opportunities to enjoy the sunshine with a variety of activities, including kayaking, paddleboarding, pickleball, volleyball, bocce ball, basketball and golf at the nine-hole Seaside Links putting course. Fishing, snorkeling and sunset cruises are also available, along with sunrise yoga sessions and moonrise bonfires.
