InterContinental announced a new property slated for Bellevue, Washington. The new-build hotel opens 2021 as part of a luxury, two-tower, mixed-use development.
In downtown Bellevue, the InterContinental Bellevue at The Avenue offers more than 250 guestrooms and two bars and restaurants, along with more than 14,000 square feet of meeting space.
The property is the first InterContinental hotel in the Pacific Northwest, following the brand’s West Coast expansion and new properties in Los Angeles and San Diego.
The hotel occupies the first 11 floors of a 26-story tower; The Avenue development also offers luxury residences, retail, food and nightlife venues. Part of the Seattle metro area, Bellevue provides proximity to the Seattle airport (SEA) as well as regional outdoor attractions.
“This stunning new project … will be a beacon of luxury and elegance and will be an outstanding addition to our luxury portfolio as we grow the InterContinental brand in the Americas. We look forward to … making Bellevue the next destination for the world’s largest luxury hotel brand,” said Joel Eisemann, chief development officer, Americas, IHG.
Construction on the property begins later this year.
