Need some desk-side inspiration? Love Bottles are refillable glass water bottles made in the United States from 30 percent recycled eco-friendly glass, with food-grade silicone seals, stainless-steel wire and handcrafted ceramic stoppers. Playing upon the work of author, researcher and photographer Masaru Emoto, whose famous experiments proved water crystals can be positively or negatively affected by human consciousness and emotion, each Love Bottles is decorated with words such as love, healing and believe; or positive images including trees, koi fish, whales, elephants, mermaids and beautiful mandalas.

In his work, Emoto exposed water in glasses to various words, pictures and music, and suggested in a peer-reviewed article detailing his findings — published in the Journal of Scientific Exploration — that water exposed to lovely words and images produces more beautiful crystals than water similarly exposed to negative words and images.

Sip from the bottle and look into the bottom where the words UR Loved can be seen. Love Bottle also donates 5 percent of each purchase to Global Water, helping ensure those in need have access to clean, safe water.

High-Spirited Hong Kong: The Dynamic Hub Embraces Its Maritime History and Culture

It was known as the “Kai Tak heart attack” — the thrilling, terrifying final approach into Hong Kong’s Kai Tak Airport. Airliners were required to bank sharply at the last moment, dodging hills and apartment blocks to line up with a runway jutting out into Kowloon Bay. The airport is long gone, but international visitors are arriving at Kai Tak again, albeit more sedately. Their cruise ships dock smoothly at Kai Tak Cruise Terminal, a modern gateway designed by Sir Norman Foster.
