Hyatt announced plans for a seventh Hyatt-branded property in Turkey. The property is the first Hyatt-branded in Izmir, expected to open in 2021 with 161 guestrooms. Izmir is the country’s third-largest city and one of the oldest cities in the region. Hyatt Regency Izmir Istinye Park hotel is planned as part of a new development with a high-end shopping mall and 860,000-square-foot park, located 12 miles from the airport.
Hyatt Regency Izmir Istinye Park will overlook the Gulf of Izmir and offer a restaurant and bar, spa and fitness center and extensive event and meeting space.
“Turkey continues to be one of the most popular tourist destinations in Europe, and we have long sought to expand our brand footprint outside of Istanbul,” said Takuya Aoyama, vice president development, Hyatt. “We are very pleased to be working with Orjin Group who has an excellent track record of developing and operating premium real estate in the country.”
