The Hyatt Regency brand made its debut in Kerala, India, earlier in the month. The Hyatt Regency Thrissur property opened in early January as the second Hyatt-branded hotel in Kerala and the 13th Hyatt Regency-branded hotel in India.
The property offers 77 guestrooms with easy access to top local attractions, including monuments, museums and galleries, as well as shopping and the Thrissur IT Park. A 24-hour café serves local North Indian and Asian cuisine. Meeting and event space includes a 900-person ballroom and meeting rooms to serve up to 150 guests. Guests enjoy access to an on-site spa, fitness center and outdoor pool.
“We are thrilled to announce the opening of our very first Hyatt Regency hotel in the beautiful and vibrant state of Kerala,” said Sunjae Sharma, vice president, India operations, Hyatt. “The Hyatt Regency brand caters to leisure as well as business travelers, which are steadily growing in the state. This launch underlines the importance of the globally celebrated Hyatt Regency brand in India, which is now present in 13 cities across the country.
