Hyatt Centric Delfina Santa Monica recently debuted its $16 million transformation of all 315 guestrooms and 15,000 square feet of meeting space. The update also includes a brand-new, all-day restaurant. Renovations of the Santa Monica, California, property began in 2024.

The reimagined design from Waldrop + Nichols Studio draws inspiration from the hotel’s location, boasting a coastal color palette, ocean-inspired materials and contemporary furnishings. Seven new Sunset Suites feature private, ocean-view balconies with hot tubs.
Meeting and event space renovations feature 11 versatile event spaces, accommodating functions of up to 400 guests. The 4,526-square-foot Delfina Ballroom is Santa Monica’s only rooftop ballroom. Sandbox, a new game room-style venue, features games, a bar, and optional theater seating for team-building and networking events.

Coastal Harvest Bar & Kitchen made its debut, serving hotel guests and locals alike. Enjoy California-inspired fare for breakfast, lunch and dinner, with a bar program of craft beer, signature cocktails and wine.

Please enjoy the Wave Issue, our cruising special for the first half of 2026. Cruising is booming, and travelers cannot get enough of it. I just returned from a fantastic trip on Regent Seven Seas Mariner with a group of Globility Board members and other Global Traveler subscribers. We departed from İstanbul and made our way through the Dardanelles Strait, connecting the Sea of Marmara to the Aegean. From there we entered the Mediterranean. The ship made interesting stops in Greece, Montenegro and Croatia before docking in Trieste. Please read my GT Tested review of Seven Seas Mariner in this issue.
